Floods drown Sudan

As the situation worsened, the Security and Defense Council - which is considered the highest authority in Sudan - declared Sudan a natural disaster area, and declared a state of extreme emergency throughout Sudan for a period of three months.
Lina Al-Sheikh, Minister of Labor and Development, said:
(More than half a million people have been affected by these floods, and more than 100 thousand homes have been demolished, total or half collapse).
